CMSC828Z: Description of Project 7 - Computation of Visibility and Collision between Surfaces and Cameras

Usually visibility has been computed using a zbuffer. In this project we would like to compare zbuffer approaches to an interesting new approach based on level sets, that does visibility on a volumetric grid. Since our basic framework is based on a volumetric representation this might advantageous. The project is supposed to examine the advantages and disadvantages. The volumetric visibility algorithm is described in the following paper:
