    Character Background

    Estrialvyn is an Elf who has lived all of his young life in Throal. While his life has hardly been dull, he has always felt some lack that he cannot identify. Searching for some way to ease this vague feeling, Estrialvyn began reading about the history and culture of the Elves. Through his studies and the stories he sought from Troubadours and Elven scholars, Estrialvyn broadened his knowledge of his heritage and became interested in many of the uniquely Elven ways.
    In addition to the general knowledge he learned, Estrialvyn also learned of a legend which quickly gained personal importance to him. This legend told of an ancient weaponsmith who forged several magical items he had seen in a dream, to be found and wielded by a descendant of the weaponsmith who proved worthy. Through some research and blind luck, Estrialvyn found that this weaponsmith was an anscestor of his. Estrialvyn does not know if the legend is true, or if the items exist. However, if it is, and they do, he wishes intensely that he could be the one to find them.
    Estrialvyn is a loose follower of the Elven Paths. His parents are not followers themselves, having immersed themselves in Throalic culture, but they respect his choice and have encouraged him in it. As a Warrior, Estrialvyn seeks to perfect his control of his physical body, believing that this is the first step on the path to the Citadel of the Shining Ones.
    As a person, Estrialvyn is occasionally arrogant, and often blunt. He is, however, respectful of those who he considers worthy of it, and honest. He considers most Orks and Trolls loud and obnoxious, as well as below average in the intelligence department. He finds Dwarves long-winded and overly pushy. T'skrang are interesting, if only because of their physical differences from most Name-givers, and he finds most Humans rather boring. Unfortunately for most of his personal dealings, Estrialvyn is not very tactful, and for some reason, many T'skrang take exception to being called "lizards".
