Forge's Journal
- Entry One
- I have started a journal because I have a feeling things are going to happen around here, I will want to remember them. Things seem normal, but Pepper seems a bit anxious about something.
- Entry Two
- Things are definitely picking up around here. I got a job from my boss on cleaning out some nicks in a sword. As I was forming it, I had a vision of a mountain that rose above the rest. The strange part is that is was smoking. I then saw inside cave and saw a faint light that grew larger, then looked like two eyes, completely white. I have a feeling that I am going to be going to that mountain. I snapped out of it, told my boss, who then gave me the rest of the night off. I went to the Tavern, got nicely drunk, but overheard people talking about a mountain to the north-west before I passed out.
- Entry Three
- After being drunk, I went to my boss and asked for the day off. Seeing my condition at that time, he agreed. I went into my shack and felt a great feeling of dread. After that passed, I fell directly asleep, and slept to the next day.
- Entry Four
- I finished my job on the sword. It looks pretty good. I told my boss that I want to go to the mountain. He said to go out there, learn, and donØt return until you do. He then assigned me to making myself a broad sword and getting armor fitted.
- Entry Five
- Well, I havenØt written for a week because I had to work on my sword and my dagger. I am leaving tomorrow. I have mixed feelings about my expedition. Pepper seems eager to travel, so I guess IØll be alright.
- Entry Six
- My mentor gave me a stack of books to read, and some adventuring gear. Right now I am sitting under a tree and paused reading the books to write in the journal. I am in the plains between the town and Lake Vohrs. Hold on a sec. I hear something. There are now two other travelers sharing my fire. One is named Aryxos(sp.) or ÓRockÔ, an obsidimen, and a loud TØkrang named Tristam. They are good companions, and an interesting couple. Rock is quiet, even for an Obsidimen, and Tristam is talkative for a windling. Tristam has an interesting sword though. I know I can do better, but I donØt want to tell him that so he feels ripped off.
- Entry Seven
- Well, we have traveled for quite some time and have met up with a human named Owl, apparently of some important tribe I am supposed to know about. Also joined in our party is another TØkrang. She is an archer, and also has knowledge of runes.
- Entry Eight
- We came across this band of fighters, and beat all of them. It was amusing, but the enemy had badly made swords, so they were doomed to lose.
- Entry Nine
- We have made it to Lake Vohrs, and met with some of the guys from that apparently important tribe of OwlØs. They told us about this evil devil guy who stole something and we agreed to stop him. Well, they agreed to stop him, while I sat there trying to figure out the craftsman of the claws they wore.
- Entry Ten
- I had this weird dream on falling, in a cloud of black smoke, that was very cold. It was scary. I wonder what it means.
- Entry Eleven
- We tracked down the evil guy and sneaked up on his castle, when we heard a battle ensuing. We started running toward the castle, but then saw an elf running from something in the castle. We figured it was a good idea to go the other way also. The evil guy came out with his army, and a battle ensued. When the evil guy realized his army with cheap swords had lost, he fled. At least I found out what that weird dream was about. It was these horrors the evil guy conjured. They were the cold black smoke. I guess I can predict stuff now. We searched the place and found a journal of his. That seemed to be of wonderful interest to people, but I was more concerned with deciphering some runes. So it was this guys journal! Who cares? I doubt if someone found my journal, they would not care as much as Rock, etc. did. It turns out that the elf is named Sasquatch, and is the most arrogant being that ever lived. Even more than orks. We stayed the night there.
- Entry Twelve
- We then followed his tracks towards a town. On the way, I found a neglected child in a ditch. I brought him to the town to see what was going on, and greeted us with pitchforks and swords. They seemed to think the kid was a demon, and they had swords more pathetic then that band we slaughtered in Entry Eight.
- Entry Thirteen
- We left the town, and turned back to Lake Vohrs. The kid seems fine, and likes to ride Pepper. When we got back to Lake Vorhs, we saw the evil guy, and decided that chasing him would do no good. We stayed there a bit then moved on.
- Entry Fourteen
- Tristam started this fight with the sheriff and killed him, so we had to run. Then, we get caught by slave traders, freed by other guys, Got to Throal, were accepted as heroes, got a money award, then got promptly robbed as soon as we left. Broke, we set out for a Kear to get money. We are going to some jungle south of the town. I am saying all of this in one entry because there was nothing of interest going on. No swords to examine, or not enough time to look at them properly. There is a weaponsmith there that can teach me to get to higher circles.
- Entry Fifteen
- Tristam and Sasquatch were attacked by Lions, drove them off into the woods, then chased after them. How stupid can you get? Well, aside from trying to make a sword out of grass. Well, we are in the forest/jungle/whatever and were attacked by a slimy, sticky, putrid thing called a horror construct. We killed it and were given a dinner by a local tribe. No interesting weaponry.
- Entry Sixteen
- We have found the Kear, and we're holing up for now.
