Job Description:
Research Intern (Computer Vision and/or Machine Learning), Integrated Data Systems Department
 
The Context Learning and Pattern Recognition (CLPR) group in the Integrated Data Systems Department of SCR has immediate openings for intern student positions. The starting date is rather flexible (i.e., throughout the whole year) but can be as early as now! The duration is at least three months, but a longer stay is preferable.

In this position, you will be conducting leading-edge research and prototyping for medical and industrial applications, requiring background knowledge on one/several of the following areas: 2D/3D computer vision, statistical analysis and estimation, tracking and information fusion, graphical models, pattern recognition and machine learning. Students with a theoretic machine learning background are also welcome to apply. Candidates should have C/C++ proficiency on MS Windows platform. Candidates also need to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently on problems, be an effective team player and be willing to accept challenges and responsibility.

Research Intern (GPU programming for scientific computing), Integrated Data Systems Department

In this position, you will be responsible for use GPU programming to speedup our leading-edge vision algorithms. You are required to have in-depth knowledge on GPU programming for scientific computing. Background knowledge on computer vision, pattern recognition and machine learning is a plus. Candidates should have C/C++ proficiency on MS Windows platform. Candidates also need to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, be able to work independently on problems, be an effective team player and be willing to accept challenges and responsibility.
