I am now with the Windows Media Division at Microsoft. My job involves developing new algorithms to improve the performance of video "codecs", which are coder-decoder pairs.
My Ph.D. research involves the development of Computer Vision algorithms, specifically those relating to the analysis of motion sequences. Computer vision can be concisely and rather ambitiously defined as the science of making computers "see" or help humans see better. I continue to collaborate with my advisor, Prof. Rama Chellappa, on an informal basis.
