Directions to EveCon and other FanTek cons

(CastleCon, HalloweenCon, CthulhuCon, whatever else we're crazy enough to do...)

These events are at the Holiday Inn Holidome and Conference Center, at the Francis Scott Key Mall in Frederick, Maryland (30 minutes from the DC beltway; 40 minutes from the Baltimore beltway).

BY CAR:

From the DC area:: From the beltway (I-95/495), go to Interstate 270 north. Go to exit 31A. Turn into the mall; stay to the right, bear right, follow the signs to the Holiday Inn.
From Baltimore:: Take the beltway (695) to I-70 west to Frederick (exit 54), then Rte. 85 South to the Mall.

(Do not turn into the Holiday Inn Express (next to Bob Evans); that is not our hotel! Our Hotel is the Holidome and Conference Center, and is around the other side of the mall, on a hill overlooking the highway.)

BY METRO:

You can't get there by Metro; get a ride from a friend.

BY PLANE:

Fly into any Airport. Rent car. See above.

BY BUS:

Yes, there is a bus. Call Greyhound 1-800-231-2222.

BY SPACESHIP:

Turn left at Jupiter. Take a right at Mars. We are the next planet on the block.

To reserve hotel rooms

Call the hotel directly, toll-free at 1-800-868-0094 (Mon-Fri 9-5), or at 1-301-694-7500 (nights & weekends). Ask for Carlyne (pronounced "Carlene"), the hotel's reservations person. Be sure to mention the name of the Con, and that you are with FanTek.

This helps you: you're sure of getting a room at the right hotel, at the convention rate -- and it helps keep con membership costs low: the hotel charges much less for the function space when a certain number of room-nights are booked by con-goers (they need to know that you're with the con!).

Do not call Holiday Inn's national 800 number. They cannot book rooms reserved for the con, and may make a reservation at the wrong hotel.
